- Visit Australia to participate during a course of study
- Can bring family members(partner otherwise you and your partner’s dependent child) with you
- Can travel in and out of Australia
- Can workout to 40 hours every 2-week period once your course starts
Stay
- Up to five years
- The type in fact and its length will determine the length of stay
Eligibility
- Be enrolled during a course of study in Australia and supply evidence
- Hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), or fall in one among the exemption categories
- Prove you’ve got a welfare arrangement, if you’re under 18
- Meet English requirements
- Have enough money for your stay
- Be a real temporary entrant
- Meet health and character requirement
- Sign Australian values statement
- Not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused
- Have not held a particular visa
- If you’ve got one among these visas, you cannot apply for this visa while you’re in Australia:
- Domestic Worker (Temporary) Diplomatic and Consular visa (subclass 426)
- Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) within the Domestic Worker (Diplomatic or consular) stream
- Diplomatic (Temporary) visa (subclass 995) – primary visa holder only.
- A loved one of a Diplomatic (Temporary) visa (subclass 995) can apply for a Student visa in Australia
- Transit visa (subclass 771)
- Visitor visa (subclass 600) within the Sponsored Family stream or within the Approved Destination Status stream
